This has been a long time coming, delayed slightly by a hard drive crash.
What’s new:
- Much faster GIF encoder thanks to Dean McNamee, GIFs with less than 256 colours are basically instant now.
- You can now import a photo from your webcam into the tracing layer if you’re using Chrome. This works better on smaller canvases (400px and under) due to Tumblr GIF limits.
- Download and Delete buttons on Encoded GIFs, no more Right Click > Save As
- Warning popup before you close the page.
- Most things now work in Safari, still no Firefox support till they support the Range tag
Known Issues:
- Keeping webcam access on can slow down drawing on slower machines, this is a bug in Chrome but you can turn the webcam off when you’re finished using it.
- Download button needs to be clicked while holding down option in Safari.
